Harm Reduction 2008 will take place at the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona, a large conference centre situated in the Montjuic region of Barcelona - an area known for its unique atmosphere and culture. The venue itself has a large auditorium for 1,650 people as well as various other rooms for concurrent sessions, side-meetings, the film festival and exhibitions.

The venue is easily accessible from the centre of Barcelona by metro train (it is on both the L3 green line and the L1 red line), bus connections from Placa Espanya (which is located within a walking distance from the venue) and taxi.
There are 3 main ways to reach the conference venue from Barcelona Airport – an ‘Aerobus’ for under €5 (available outside both of the airport terminals and taking approximately 30 minutes); train and metro for under €5 (getting the RENFE Train from the airport to Barcelona Sants, and changing there for the metro to Placa Espanya – this takes about 40 minutes); or a taxi for around €30 (which takes around 20 minutes).
