IHRA is an international, not-for-profit NGO and a company limited by guarantee in accordance with company law in England and Wales. It is also a registered UK charity (Charity Number 1117375). A summary of IHRA's governance and activities will be found in the introduction to the most recent Audited Financial Accounts. IHRA’s governing body is the Board of Directors (the Board) which comprises all of the Directors and any co-opted members. In the current Articles of Association the governing body is called the Executive Committee. In 2008 the Directors agreed to change the name of this committee to the Board of Directors, and in due course the Articles of Association will be changed to reflect this. Financial Documents

IHRA submits annual financial accounts as required under company law in England and Wales, the most recent ones being for 2006. IHRA’s income comes from conferences, membership fees, donations (personal and corporate), multi- and bi-lateral agencies, foundations and trusts. In order to ensure the integrity and independence of the organisation and the transparency of IHRA’s income sources, a funding policy has been developed.
