As in previous years, groups and organisations will wish to organise meetings and satellite events to take place around Harm Reduction 2011. Harm Reduction International and the Conference Consortium welcome the opportunity to support and promote these events via the website and other media and acknowledge them in the conference reader.
Anyone wishing to organise a satellite should firstly contact Maria Souaid, at EVENTA (HR:2011's locally based managing agent). You will need to provide Maria with details of what facilities and services you require for your meeting and agree a contract for such facilities and any catering services. All arrangements and transactions, including financial transactions, are between EVENTA and the organiser of the satellite, neither Harm Reduction International nor the Conference Consortium can accept any liability assigned from either party for any expenditure involved.
Once you have details of the venue and time for your meeting you should contact Annie Kuch to discuss the promotion opportunities. Ordinarily to be recognised as an official satellite to the conference, publicised on the website and included in the conference reader, at least 50% (or 25 individuals, whichever is the larger number) of those anticipated to attend any satellite meeting must also be registered as delegates to the conference itself.
