Important information for renewing members - changes to the IJDP subscription

Please be sure to take note of this information if you are an existing member, or if you are hoping to renew your HRI membership soon. HRI’s affiliation with IJDP’s publisher Elsevier has changed. Elsevier would like HRI members to sign up for the journal directly through their website. But becoming an HRI premium member still entitles you to a great discount on the IJDP. Renew or join up as an HRI premium or institutional member and (if you are working for an NGO or charity) you will receive a discount code that enables you to purchase your subscription directly through Elsevier at a very discounted rate.

Purchasing an HRI premium membership will cost £80, then the remaining fee of $81 (or approximately £50) will need to be paid online to Elsevier (http://www.ijdp.org/pricing). Subscribing to the IJDP with an HRI membership code will mean a total saving of £70.

Purchasing an HRI institutional membership will cost £350, then the remaining fee of $81 (or approximately £50) will need to be paid online to Elsevier (http://www.ijdp.org/pricing). Subscribing to the IJDP with an HRI membership code will mean a total saving of £200. Please note that this reduced subscription rate is available only to institutional members that are NGOs or charities.  It is not available for private companies or academic institutions.

PG.jpgPayroll Giving

As a supporter of Harm Reduction International, you will know how hard we work to plan ahead in order to make best use of your donations. Through Payroll Giving, you can provide a regular, reliable income stream that allows us to budget, while benefiting you with generous tax relief.

How does it work?
Give to Harm Reduction International from your pay and you can get immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated. The donations are taken from your gross salary, reducing the amount of income tax that is deducted from your salary.

What do you need to do?
All you need to do is ask your payroll department to deduct regular charitable donations from your salary by filling out a simple application form, stating how much you would like to give and to which charities. Your donations will show on your payslip.

If your employer does not already have a Payroll Giving scheme in place, don’t worry – it’s quick and easy to set up. Employers simply sign a contract with a Payroll Giving Agency who will transmit donations on their behalf.

It pays to give - should you wish to sign up to the payroll giving scheme today, please complete this form and hand in to your payroll department. (PDF, 62 KB)
