New Delhi| The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved GoFirst's application for voluntary insolvency resolution process. Also, NCLT has given protection to GoFirst from recovery of lenders. The company had sought an interim moratorium on financial obligations with liabilities of Rs 11,463 crore. The tribunal has asked the interim resolution professional (IRP) Abhilash Lal not to lay off employees. The company has more than 7000 employees. GoFirst has suspended the sale of tickets till May 19. CEO Kaushik Khona has said in this regard that the crisis has arisen due to stoppage of supply by the American firm Pratt & Whitney, which provides engines to airlines.

Panipat | The team of Anti-Corruption Bureau caught Dr. Rohit Kundu, Divisional Medical Officer, Panipat Unit of Northern Railway Health red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.5 lakh. This action was taken on the complaint of Dr. Naveen Sangwan, GM of a private hospital in Panipat. It was alleged that the hospital was responsible for passing a bill of Rs 12.80 lakh and in future more patients were being admitted to the hospital. I had asked for a bribe of Rs 15 lakh in the name of referral. Dr. Kundu was caught in Dr. Sangwan's car near Hanu Sweets. 5 lakh rupees were recovered from him in a yellow colored bag. According to the complaint of Dr. Sangwan, his hospital is on the panel of Railways.

Nitika Pawar, a 2012 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Deputy Financial Advisor (Deputy Secretary level) in PSBSF Chandigarh under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the ministry's instructions said. She will now be posted in BSF Chandigarh on deputation for three years under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Mohali | In order to tighten the security arrangements for the IPL matches to be held at the IS Bindra Cricket Stadium in Phase-9, District Magistrate Ashika Jain has imposed a ban on flying drones within 200 meters radius of the cricket stadium by invoking Section 144. It was told in the issued orders that drones cannot be flown around the PCA on April 1, 13, 20, 28 and May 3 to maintain peace and law and order. Therefore, this area has been declared as no-drone and no-flying zone, in which flight of any kind of flying object is strictly prohibited.
