Chandigarh | Four Punjabis have been elected to the Alberta State Assembly in Canada. A total of 15 Punjabis contested in Calgary and Edmonton, and many seats were closely contested. Incumbent cabinet minister Rajan Sawhney of the United Conservative Party (UCP) has won re-election in Calgary North West. Sawhney defeated Michael Lisboa-Smith of the New Democratic Party (NDP). On the other hand, sitting NDP MLA Jasveer Deol from Adamton Meadows was successful in winning again.

Cricket's associate countries are unhappy with the new ICC revenue model. They believes that the new model is supporting big countries more in cricket, due to which the growth of cricket may stop. As per the new model, 88.81 per cent of the revenue will be shared among the 12 Test playing nations. While 11.19% will be distributed among 94 associate countries. Pak has already criticized it. A member of Associate Country told that they are disappointed with the new model.
