The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the results of the CA Final and Intermediate exams on Wednesday. The pass percentage for CA Final Group-2 was 31.43%, marking the fourth time since November 2017 that the result has exceeded 30% under both the new and old schemes. In the latest round of exams, held in May 2023, the maximum number of students passed the CA Final exam in the last six attempts. According to the ICAI, Akshay Ramesh Jain from Ahmedabad secured the first position with 77% (616 out of 800 marks). Kalpesh K Jain from Chennai came in second with 603 marks, and Prakhar Varshney from New Delhi secured the third position with 574 marks. Two youths have been arrested by the Dhakoli police in Zirakpur for carrying illegal weapons. The police received a tip-off that the two youths were roaming in the Dhakoli area with illegal weapons. Acting on this information, the police searched the two youths who were travelling in a Chandigarh number Endeavor car and recovered a revolver from them. The accused have been identified as Prabhjot Singh from Habdi district Kaithal, Haryana and Manjinder Singh from Balahi village in Kurukshetra district. During patrolling near the MS Enclave gate, the police received information about the two youths and immediately swung into action. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) in 13 languages, including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The NCET is a computer-based test that will consist of objective type multiple-choice questions, making it convenient for candidates to take. The application process for the NCET has begun, and the date of the entrance test will be announced soon. The test pattern has been released by the NTA to help candidates prepare for the exam.
