623 grams of gold recovered from a passenger coming from Dubai

Amritsar International Airport custom Authorities have seized a consignment of gold with a 24-carat purity weighing 623 grams, which was found hidden in paste form in the vest and underwear of a passenger. The seizure was made under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962. In a separate incident on June 15, a passenger on the Indigo-6E1428 flight from Sharjah was found to be carrying a capsule weighing 1072 grams, which had been concealed in their anus. Upon inspection, 778 grams of gold were recovered from the capsule. These incidents highlight the ongoing issue of smuggling and illegal trafficking of valuable goods. It is important for authorities to remain vigilant and take appropriate measures to prevent such activities. Additionally, it is crucial for individuals to understand the severe consequences of participating in such illegal activities and to refrain from engaging in them.
