Shimla | The entire staff has been suspended in the co-operative bank branch Janjehli (co-operative bank) in connection with a scam of about 90 lakhs. Earlier, the peon of this branch was suspended. Questions were being raised at the bank branch as to how this scam was perpetrated by a class IV employee working here, while the bank officials did not even get a clue about it. Now after investigation, the entire staff including the branch manager has been suspended. Branch Manager Sundar Lal, Clerk Nikka Ram, Jeevan Singh, Akshay Katwal have also been suspended. On the other hand, the internal audit and special audit are probing the matter. The report of the investigation will have to be given to MD Cooperative Bank Shimla within 15 days. Bank’s MD Shravan Manta says that at present the entire staff has been suspended.
