In a recent incident at Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar, the Customs Preventive team successfully recovered 808 grams of gold from a passenger arriving from Dubai. The estimated value of the seized gold is approximately Rs 49.12 lakh. The incident took place on Tuesday morning when SpiceJet flight SG 56 arrived. The customs spokesperson reported that during the routine inspection, one of the passengers raised suspicion. Although no gold was found during the initial luggage search, upon further questioning, it was discovered that the passenger had concealed gold inside his anus.
