Twitter: Only follower will be able to DM, not even group chat without blue tick
Soon, it will no longer be possible to send direct messages (DMs) on Twitter to users who do not follow you. Additionally, group chat functionality with such users will be disabled. Twitter will only offer DMs to its subscribed users, who pay $8 (Rs 656) per month to obtain a Blue Tick. Elon Musk has announced on Twitter that more information about this change will be shared this week. According to Musk, this restriction has been implemented to combat the issue of AI-based spam bots. The payment system serves as a form of verification, which helps to identify and prevent spam chatbots.
