In a shocking incident, thieves broke into the rooms of four doctors living in E block of PGI in Chandigarh and stole five laptops, 45 thousand cash, and other valuables. The Sector-11 police station has registered a case against unknown thieves based on the complaint filed by Junior Resident (JR) Dr. Praveen. The investigation so far suggests that the thief is not an outsider but from the campus itself. The police are scanning the CCTV cameras installed in the area to identify the culprit.
Dr. Praveen, in his complaint to the police, stated that he works as a Junior Resident in PGI. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of the doctors and other staff members living in the PGI campus. The authorities need to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of the residents and prevent such incidents from happening in the future
