Chandigarh | Mayor Anoop Gupta inaugurated open air gyms in four parks of Manimajra on Wednesday. Former mayor and area councilor Sarabjit Kaur, other councillors, corporation officials and dignitaries of the area were present on the occasion. On this occasion, the mayor also planted trees and shrubs in the parks. Mayor Anoop Gupta said that along with the youth of the area, the elderly will also benefit from these open air gyms. He said that people would be able to exercise from the open air gym while going for morning and evening walks. He said that the objective behind the provision of open air gym in the city is to promote healthy living of the city dwellers.
