Chandigarh: PGI General and Institute Body meeting on 6th September in Delhi

A meeting of the Governing Body and Institute Body of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) is scheduled to take place in Delhi on September 6th. The primary focus of the meeting will be to address various pending works within the institute. One of the key issues to be discussed is the creation of new posts in different departments, which is expected to receive approval.
Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, the Deputy Director Administration and official spokesperson, stated that both meetings have been allocated one hour each. The agenda also includes the promotion of faculty and non-faculty members. Specifically, the promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, Associate to Additional Professor, and Additional to Faculty posts will be deliberated upon. Additionally, several other academic matters have been included in the agenda.
In a previous meeting of the institute body held at PGI, the approval for MBBS seats was granted. As part of this decision, a proposal to construct a building to accommodate 100 MBBS seats in Sarangpur was also passed
