Maria Phelan, Networking and Advocacy Officer

Maria joined IHRA in 2010 as a networking and advocacy officer. Maria holds an MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights from the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University if London. Prior to working at IHRA, she worked for the National Children’s Bureau coordinating the Children and Young People’s HIV Network and the Terrence Higgins Trust. At IHRA she coordinates the European Harm Reduction Network and works to raise the profile of harm reduction through lobbying and advocacy activities.
