Chandigarh | The GST collection of Punjab registered a decrease of 5 percent in the month of May as compared to the month of May last year and the GST collection in May 23 remained only Rs 1744 crore as against Rs 1833 crore received last year. At the same time, in the month of April this year, for the first time, Punjab has received GST of Rs 2316 crore in a month. Only three states of the country have registered a decrease in GST in May, including Manipur by 17 percent and Chhattisgarh by 4 percent, while Punjab is the only state among the big states whose GST collection has fallen.
