Panchkula | The team of Panchkula Detective Staff arrested an accused along with 21 grams of heroin and produced them in the court on Sunday. The court has sent the accused on police remand for two days. During the remand, it will be ascertained from where the accused used to buy drugs and to whom he used to sell them. The name of the accused is Ranvijay, who is a resident of Maloya, Chandigarh. The accused is working in a company located in Industrial Area Phase-2.
Panchkula Detective Staff Incharge Nirmal Singh said that on Saturday he received information about the accused supplying heroin. According to information, his team reached near Amartax Chowk. There the accused was seen coming from the bike. Seeing the police car, the accused tried to run away on the wrong side by turning the bike. The accused was chased and taken into custody. During checking, 21 grams of heroin was found from him. A case under NDPS Act was registered against the accused in Sector-20 police station and arrested.
