IAS officer Bribery case: Dharmendra Singh on remand for four days, police will recover

IAS Dharmendra Singh, arrested on charges of taking bribe, was presented in the court of JMIC Anuradha, Sector-12, on Tuesday. From where he was sent on police remand for 4 days. The police will now interrogate the accused officer in the bribery case. While being taken back after appearing in the court, the officer’s foot slipped on the stairs of the second floor and he fell down and got injured. On the other hand, the officer’s lawyer Sanjeev Rao rejected the allegations. Said that the police arrested his client on the basis of the story told by only one person without any evidence. All the allegations are baseless. The name of the officer is not even in the FIR. Please inform that Lalit Mittal, a resident of Ranjit Nagar, New Delhi, lodged an FIR on June 22, 2022 at Kotwali police station. In this, in the name of getting a government contract in Charkhi Dadri, Pankaj Garg, his acquaintance RB Sharma and son Kuldeep Sharma were accused of paying one crore 11 lakh bribe. The arrested IAS officer Dharmendra Singh is not named in the FIR. Police sources say that Rambir Singh, arrested a year ago, had named the officer in his statement. On the basis of his disclosure report, the IAS was arrested by the Gurgaon NIT police at his home on Monday.
