Sitanshu Kotak, a former Saurashtra player and the current head coach of India A, has been appointed as the head coach for India’s upcoming tour of Ireland. The tour will consist of a series of three T20 matches scheduled to take place from 18 to 23 August. Notably, the regular coaching staff of the Indian team, including head coach Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathour, and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, have been given a rest for the Ireland T20 series.
Initially, it was expected that VVS Laxman, the chief of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), would serve as the interim head coach, as he did during India’s previous tour of Ireland. However, Laxman has decided to stay in Bengaluru for the emerging camp, which led to the appointment of Sitanshu Kotak as the head coach for the Ireland tour.
