
Separate teams of the Italian Coast Guards rescued about 1000 people and brought them to the coast. Actually, three boats were hit by the dangerous waves of the sea. There were more than 1000 people in them. After the danger was reported, a campaign was started to save them. Coast Guard rescued these people in two boats. 584 people were taken to Roggio Calabria in a boat. While in the second boat, 487 people were taken to Croton Port. This is the same island near which the shipwrecked on 26 February. 74 had died then.
