Majithia and other leaders did not appear in the court, said they are working to help the flood affected

Several Akali leaders were produced in court on Saturday in connection with a case of violation of DC’s orders and clash with the police. However, Bikramjit Singh Majithia and other prominent leaders did not appear in court. The accused include big names like Chandumajra and NK Sharma.
Advocate Rajesh Rai, who is representing Majithia and other leaders, filed an application in court stating that these leaders are currently engaged in helping people in the flood-affected areas of Punjab and therefore cannot appear in court. The court approved the application.
The application was filed on behalf of Majithia, Kanwarjit Singh, Parambans Singh Romana, Pawan Kumar, Daljit Singh, Surjit Singh, Mahesh Inder Singh, and Balwinder Singh. The Sector-3 police station had registered a case against these Akali leaders two years ago on the complaint of Inspector Balram Rana.
