Punajb: Fraud of 5 lakhs in the name of selling land in Patiala

The Khedi Gandian police have registered a case of cheating involving lakhs of rupees. Mehar Kaur, a resident of Amardeep Colony in Rajpura, filed a complaint with the police station, alleging that Surinder Kaur, a resident of Guru Arjan Dev Colony in Rajpura, had cheated her in a land deal. Mehar had given Rs. 5 lakhs as earnest money, but later discovered that the accused woman had sold 33 square yards of the land to someone else.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case against Surinder Kaur. It has been alleged that she had manipulated the land records to deceive Mehar Kaur.
The police are investigating the matter and will take appropriate action against the accused woman if found guilty. It is important to exercise caution while entering into land deals and to verify the authenticity of the land records before making any payments. Such incidents of fraud and cheating can be avoided by conducting thorough due diligence and seeking legal advice before entering into any agreements.
