Punjab: Drunk principal found doing duty, suspended by education minister during checking

The Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains, visited the Government Girls School located in the village of Dher, Sri Anandpur Sahib. During his surprise inspection, the minister encountered Principal Kuldeep Singh, who was found to be intoxicated. As a result, the minister took immediate action and suspended the principal for his dereliction of duty. The suspension entails the principal reporting to the Head Quarter Office, DEO Secondary, Jalandhar. Additionally, the Education Minister announced the release of Rs 1 crore each for infrastructure development in schools, aiming to enhance the quality of education. The Special Secretary of the School Education Department issued a letter confirming the principal’s suspension due to his state of intoxication. This official communication highlights the seriousness of the incident and emphasizes the administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards such behavior. The letter serves as a reminder that individuals in positions of authority must uphold their responsibilities with utmost professionalism and dedication.
