
Chandigarh | UDID cards have been issued by the Punjab government to 3,07,219 differently-abled persons in the state till March 23, 2023. Unique Disability Identity Cards (UDID) are being prepared to give benefits of all the schemes and services of the Central and Punjab Government to the disabled persons on the basis of a single card and its database is being prepared at the national level. Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that according to the daily report sent by the Government of India, the state of Punjab has secured the 10th position among the states that have made these cards. The Disability Cell has been set up by the Punjab Government for the differently-abled persons. He said that this dedicated cell would be a single window platform for Divyangs to avail benefits of disability schemes.
