Chandigarh | On the demand of increasing the security of senior Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, the High Court has directed the state government to take a decision within one month. Justice Rajmohan Singh said that Sidhu had received threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In such a situation, action should be taken after considering the aspects of security. The High Court said that it is the job of the state to provide security and the interference of the court in this is minimal. In the petition, Sidhu said that the security should be increased from Y+ to Z+. When he went to jail in the Rodgers case, the security was withdrawn. At that time it was assured that when he comes out of jail, he will return the security. Now after being released from jail, the security was reduced to Y category. He has received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Recently a person was also seen on the roof of the house. Patiala Police has registered a case against unknown.
