A social media page called ‘Punjab Police Entertainment’ has attempted to tarnish the image of women police officers and personnel by sharing their photos and videos without permission. The page has shared photos and videos of women officers from Punjab and other states, and many lewd comments have been made on them. Several women officers have strongly objected to this, and some officers whose photos and videos have been used are not even aware of it. SSP Hoshiarpur Sartaj Singh Chahal has stated that he was not aware of this matter, but he will instruct his social media cell to block the page. It is unacceptable to use photos of women police officers in this manner without their consent.
