The Haryana government, in orders issued on Tuesday evening, has replaced Panchkula Municipal Corporation commissioner Virendra Lather. Sachin Gupta, a 2018 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new commissioner of Panchkula Municipal Corporation. He will also hold the charge of District Municipal Commissioner, Panchkula. IAS Sachin Gupta was earlier Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Citizen Resources Information Officer, Ambala. Haryana Government has issued transfer and posting orders of 10 IAS and HCS officers of the state. In these, Sachin Gupta has been appointed as the new commissioner of Panchkula Municipal Corporation in place of Virendra Lather. Virendra Lather took over as the commissioner of Panchkula Municipal Corporation in the last week of August 2022. He was the corporation commissioner of MC here for about eight months.
